Hi there,

Chris’s Corner

We’re now into our second stay-at-home order in 2021 and I hear from others, and it’s the same for me, that COVID fatigue is increasing, stress levels are increasing, and emotions are running higher than usual. We are in this for the long haul and it’s so important to be using our usual tools to help reduce our stress and to be adding in some extras, if at all possible. For me, a Neurofeedback session is the first thing I do when I start to get that revved feeling inside, and I don’t mean from coffee! 😊 Walking and pickleball are also high on my list. I notice a difference in my sleep and mood if I miss even one day of getting physical exercise. Lately, I’ve also been adding conscious breathing to my de-stress repertoire. In this edition, I’m reminding everyone of some tools I’ve mentioned before and adding some extra ones. What are your go-to tools? Are you scheduling them in? If you’re finding it hard to use your calming tools, I highly recommend creating a schedule based on the tools you use at home, coming in for a NeurOptimal® tune-up or renting a system for a day or weekend to do some tune-up sessions at home. Stay safe!

Quote of the month

How did the rose ever open its heart and give to this world all its beauty? It felt the encouragement of light against its being. Otherwise, we all remain too frightened.
