The leaves have been spectacular this fall and I hope that many of you have been able to get out and enjoy a walk along the streets in your neighbourhood, or explore the many beautiful wooded trails in the area.

World Mental Health Day was October 10th and this year's theme was “Make mental health and well-being for all a global priority”. As the Covid pandemic has moved into the endemic phase, the impact on people’s mental health is coming to the forefront. I’m noticing this particularly in young people. In my practice, I've seen more young people this year between the ages of 15 and 30 than I have for the past 8 years combined.

With this in mind, I’m delighted to have Margaret Boersma, owner of Creative Education in Action, as my guest writer this month, talking about mindset tools for both parents and children.
